Happy end of the work week, gems! With the long weekend ahead, I'm excited to chat about last weekend, which I spent with my sister!
One of my favorite things about this entire life is having a sister. There really is nothing greater.
One of my favorite things about this entire life is having a sister. There really is nothing greater.
Don't get me wrong; when I was in high school, I did not think so fondly of the idea. My little sister was the worst (but don't all big sisters say that?) She was known for rolling out of bed no less than three minutes before I drove us to school. She was always late. She always told you what was on her mind (good or bad). She had a habit of stealing my clothes and skirting the rules.
She still does all of that, of course, but now I don't mind it; she's grown on me. I kind of like her (a lot). It's amazing how time can change things so brilliantly.
Last Friday, Cassie drove to Minneapolis and met me at my apartment right after work. From shopping to fancy dinners, manicures, nights out on the town, haircuts, trips to IKEA, BBQs, grocery shopping, Pride, movie nights in, polaroid photoshoots, soccer games and fast food runs, we had such an amazing time. Sunday came way, way too soon.
Every time she comes to visit, I find myself secretly devising a plan to get her to stay here with me forever. Having your best friend with you is as good as it gets, especially when that best friend is your sister. My fingers and toes are crossed in the hopes that she'll move here after graduation next summer! I'm giddy at the thought.
Love you, Boo.
